In case of a total loss with Cardoen omnium, you get the full purchase price back during the first two years of your insurance. From year three on, a depreciation is applied. You can always find the details in your insurance contact.
If you do not have Cardoen omnium and your car is totaled, an insurance expert will determine the residual value of your car. Is that amount lower than what you still have to pay off? Then you have to pay extra. Is that amount higher? Then you get extra money back.
